What makes you excited about joining CSNA?
I look forward to collaborating with the providers/doctors. CSNA is forward-thinking, which is important to the growth and development of the neuro-vision rehabilitation program to meet community needs.
What does patient care mean to you?
Listening and observing are two essential skills that enhance therapy outcomes. I aim to understand the whole person and how this impacts vision processing. Once patients improve their vision efficiency, their performance in vision-related functional activities can also improve. I strive to help everyone understand their visual system and how they can increase satisfaction in participating in functional activities.
Why did you become an Occupational Therapist?
Helping others inspired me to become an occupational therapist. I enjoy facilitating the step-by-step improvements patients make as they achieve their goals. I recognized a community need for occupational therapy regarding vision rehabilitation. I returned to school and earned my Doctorate in Occupational Therapy, specializing in remedial vision, where I discovered my passion.
